Prosurge launches 100kA per Phase TVSS/surge panel in very compact size
Prosurge launches a new UL 1449 Type 1 listed panel mount Surge Protection Device (SPD) which can make up to100kA per phase in a very compact size of (W x D x H) 162 x 80 x 76 mm.
This transient surge suppressor (TVSS) build with Prosurge's patented PTMOV (20PTMOV), which has a thermally protected and arc extinguishing device, which has a significant advantage in abnormal over-voltage and high fault current safety and thus ensures industry's highest level of safety and performance.
This wall mount SPD is tested and listed as UL1449 4th and CSA C22.2 Type 1 SPD.
According to UL1449 standard, Type 1 SPD is permanently connected SPDs intended for installation between the secondary of the service transformer and the line side of the service equipment overcurrent device, as well as the load side, including watt-hour meter socket enclosures and Molded Case SPDs intended to be installed without an external overcurrent protective device.
SPDs investigated for Type 1 applications are automatically suitable for Type 2 applications and may be marked for SPD Type 1 and/or Type 2 applications. SPDs only marked "SPD Type 2" are not suitable for Type 1 applications
