A voltage spike is a transient event, lightning that hits a power line can give a spike of over 100,000 volts and can burn through wiring insulation and cause fires.

A surge protective device (or surge suppressor, surge diverter, surge protection device [SPD] or transient voltage surge suppressor-TVSS) is a device intended to protect electrical devices from voltage spikes in AC or DC circuits.

From the foundation of Prosurge,  we believe quality is paramount for a safety product like surge protection device (SPD). We invest heavily to build a test lab to perform tests to Prosurge SPDs according to IEC 61643-11, IEC61643-31 and UL 1449 standards.

For years of development, Prosurge's Surge Test Lab has certified as a recognized Laboratories by TÜV SÜD as External Test Laboratory and appointed by Foshan Government as “Lightning Protection R&D Center".

Prosurge surge test lab can strictly  follow ISO/IEC 17025 Testing and Calibration Laboratories standards, can perform testing according to ANSI/UL 1449, 497a/b/c, EN/IEC 61643-1/11/31, EN50539-11, EN60730-1, EN/IEC 61643-21,IEEE C62.41 etc.
